Introduction

The stage truss roof is widely used in structural engineering because of its reasonable stress, simple calculation, convenient construction and strong adaptability, and it will not produce transverse horizontal thrust on the support. Truss is often used as roof load-bearing structure, also known as roof truss. Its main disadvantages are large structure height and small lateral stiffness. It not only increases the material consumption of the outer wall at the roof, but also increases the heating and ventilation load.

The upper chord of the stage truss roof is compressed and the lower chord is tensioned, which forms a couple to balance the bending moment generated by the external load. The shear force generated by the external load is balanced by the vertical component of the axial force of the diagonal member. Therefore, in the truss structure, all member elements (top chord, bottom chord, diagonal web, and vertical bar) are axial tension or axial compression members, so that the strength of the material can be fully developed.
